Because the Israeli market is full of strains unique to the country- heck, even known strains sometimes are sold under an Israeli pseudonym- it's a rarity that I'll pay extra for an internationally recognized name. So why did I do exactly that with Sherbert? (Yes, the strain is spelled like that.) Because HOLY TERPENES, BATMAN!

This strain takes the best from its parents and gives you exactly what you'd expect from this collection of terpenes: a good time.

Not sure what a terpene is? Check out my article here.

Here's why I'm stuck on the terpenes: you might get one or two terpenes in a strain with numbers worth reporting. Individually, Pink Panties and Girl Scout Cookies have just that- a few (and plentiful!) terpenes each. Somehow, this strain takes the best from its parents and gives you exactly what you'd expect from this collection of terpenes: a good time.

Let's go over what's in this strain terpene-by-terpene:

Terpene: β-Caryophyllene

     Scent profile: Spicy

     Flavor profile: Peppery

     Physical Effects: Anti-inflammation, anti-microbial, anti-oxidant, pain relief

    Mental Effects: Relaxing

Terpene: Humulene

     Scent profile: Dank, Woody

     Flavor profile: Earthy, Woody

Physical Effects: Anti-tumor, anti-microbial, pain relief

Mental Effects: None, but I find its scent calming

Terpene: Limonene

     Scent profile: Citrusy

     Flavor profile: Sweet

Physical Effects: Immune stimulation, anti-tumor, expectorant

Mental Effects: Mood elevation, Increased focus and concentration

Terpene: Linalool

     Scent profile: Floral

     Flavor profile: Floral, spicy

     Physical Effects: Pain relief

    Mental Effects: Mood elevation, sedation

Terpene: Myrcene

     Scent profile: Musky

     Flavor profile: Earthy

Physical Effects: Slowed motor movement, decrease in blood pressure, increased availability of insulin, anti-inflammatory

    Mental Effects: Sedating, relaxing

Terpene: Pinene

     Scent profile: Pine

     Flavor profile: Grassy, pine

     Physical Effects: Pain relief, anti-inflammatory

    Mental Effects: Anti-anxiety

That is, not only are you going to get a high dose of THC, a little bit of CBD, but you're also getting a combination of SIX terpenes to assist in your path to wellness.

So you might be asking, "Well then why would you buy any other strain if this has ALL THE THINGS?" And that's a great question.

For some people, this might be the strain to end all strains. If you're looking for an indica that's not too much of an indica. This is for you. If you want something that's great for pain, elevating mood, calming anxiety, and an overall feeling of relaxation. This is for you.

For me, I need different types of cannabis with varying THC and CBD percentages depending on the time of day.

What does that look like? I tend to use a T20/C4 indica at night, a T10/C10 during the day when I need to be productive or alert, and a T20/C4 sativa or hybrid on days (or evenings if I have the energy) where adulting is less necessary.

I'm even picky when it comes to my indicas. I like my indicas dank and diesel. This is filled with all sorts of scents, but neither "dank" nor "diesel" apply. Instead, my nose tells me that this strain is straddling the border between light indica and an indica-dominant hybrid. It's a little sweet. It's a little earthy. It's.. it's.. too many cooks in the kitchen!

Because I'm using this strain almost exclusively at night, I want an indica that's going to punch me in face. This is not that indica.

Because I use my pure indicas almost exclusively at night, I want a strain that's going to punch me in face. This is not that indica. In fact, I'm writing this while medicated on Sherbert. I'm only slightly less functional than I would be on a indica-dominant hybrid T20/C4, so I'm taking this rare opportunity to blog during the experience.

Drawbacks: I notice a slowing of reaction time and motor movements, difficulty paying attention to one thing

Pluses: Increased attention to detail, increased creativity, decreased pain, elevated mood, muscle relaxation, decreased heartrate and blood pressure

The overall entourage effect is one big emotional up, a complete physical release, and as mentioned before, one big ol' good time.

Would I get this strain again? I did!

Would I get this strain again? I did! Unfortunately, the package I opened on camera had mold. Due to Israel's liability laws, I didn't want to capture anything too uncouth, so I stopped filming.

Here's what I can say: when I contacted Genie Pharm, where I'd purchased the product, about the issue (sending them pictures), both they and Canya Pharm worked together to exchange my product for something comparable. (I can't wait to tell you about CCK!) I had to return the previous product for proper disposal, of course, but the fact that both the pharmacy and manufacturer stood by their products and extended customer service. Hello? Am I in Israel?

What it has inspired is an eventual post on, "Help me save my moldy weed!" with the conclusion of, "Don't bother - try the pharmacy or manufacturer first."

And this is exactly why you should go to a pharmacy you trust and not just whatever is closest by. But more on choosing a pharmacy at some other point.
