Sometimes I like to take a chance on a strain, especially if there's little-to-no information on it. This is one of those strains.
Why'd I get Royal Cream? I was looking for a hybrid, it was a great price-point, and it was being sold by a pharmacy that I trust to carry good product. So it's not like I was throwing all caution to the wind; I had little to lose and a lot to gain from going with this strain.
And how did my adventure turn out? AMAZING.
From the moment I opened the package, I was living in a sweet cannabis lover's dream. I stuck my nose into that bag and immediately was transported to a tropical fruit wonderland. It was almost more a fruity than a cannabis smell. Between the scent and overall look of the buds, I could tell that it was sativa-dominant and that I was in for a good time. It was at that point I literally called one of my clients and told her that I found her strain.
I love when taking risks pays off.

The buds were medium-to-small, but lovely. They were on the dry side, but it's something I can fix. A beautiful, lighter green dusted beautifully with trichomes and more subdued calyxes, these buds appealed to me as someone who appreciates a sativa-dominant strain- followed by laughs, of course.
An unfortunate truth for me is that I don't have the luxury of being a recreational user. I'm granted a medical cannabis license for a reason and as such, rely on an entourage effect for my complex needs. To keep it short, the entourage effect is the combination of cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, etc. to produce a singular experience. In real people language, this means that I need something more than just THC to satisfy my needs.
And to my pleasant surprise, taking a risk on Royal Cream really paid off. This strain not only boasts a high THC level of 24.0%, it is covered in terpene-filled trichomes. I have no idea why they didn't go into terpene testing- this strain had much and more to offer my kief catch! If I had to hazard a guess, I'd put my money on Terpinolene and Myrcene being in this strain due to both Royal Cream's heavily fruity scent and physiological and psychological effects.

I didn't need to change a thing about this strain. It was a great day strain for me as a writer and mom. Royal Cream offers an elevated mood and creativity up the wazoo! I was noticeably more active, more productive, and more interactive with people in my environment while under its influence.
And the client? I had her pair it with a fruit-flavored filter and she's forever in love.
