Joseph is one of those strains I came to by a pharmacist's recommendation that actually lived up to expectations. I told them that I was looking for a hard-hitting indica for PTSD and pain. One-hundred percent, they hit the nail on the head! It's at the price-point I'd expect from a pharmacist's recommendation- hovering at around 300₪ for 10g- but if you're looking for what I've described, this strain is the one.
From the moment I opened the jar, I knew this was going to be some of the best relaxation of my life.
If you're looking for a strain with which to make edibles and get a good night's sleep, I highly recommend Joseph for its medicinal properties as well as its taste. With the flavor of a little bit sweet and a little bit dank, it's exactly what I look for in a cannabutter to put in brownies.
Both vaping and smoking this strain were absolute pleasures. I usually like my indicas dank or diesel. This was dank with an extra hint of sweet flavor. To mix things up a bit, I rolled a joint using Joseph with a strawberry filter. Both the flavor of the filter and cannabis were enhanced by the pairing- the sweet within the dank becoming more prominent. (Wondering about flavored filters? Keep your eyes peeled for a post!)
Drawbacks are mild couch lock and dry mouth, but if you're asking for "hard hitting," you're probably expecting that. Since I use Joseph only at night to wind down and prepare for bed, this didn't bother me at all. If you're looking to be productive and just need something for release, this may not produce the entourage effect for which you're looking.
Would I get this strain again? Absolutely- BUT- only as long as I have a more daytime-friendly strain to use alongside.

Joseph perfect for pain, panic, and insomnia, but my productivity takes a huge hit under its effect. AND THAT'S FINE, but it's not what I need most of the time. Unless I'm right before bed, I look for mild sedation WHILE functioning. This is perfect for relaxation, zen, and naptime. It is not perfect for chasing after children or doing dishes.
