Queen Jackie was on my to-buy list for awhile for a few reasons. One, because it also been processed into an oil, and I prefer to get sublingual drops that are strain-based instead of "Let's throw in whatever!" Two, because it was a popular offer, available at all of my preferred pharmacies. There aren't too many T10/C10 strains out there, so finding one that you can depend on is important.

And that was exactly the reason why I ended up purchasing Queen Jackie- because my go-to T10/C10 strains were nowhere to be found. Besides, as a cannabis reviewer, why wouldn't I want to take the opportunity to try something new. (Other than the fact that this stuff is medicine for me and I need it for pain, but, y'know..)

The overall effect was nice, but from the moment I smelled it, I knew it might not be for me.

First off, I want to say that just because this is my experience with a strain, it's not necessarily yours. I judge my cannabis primarily by what I smell, and not by THC level or how fancy it is. If my nose something tells me is right for me, I usually follow it.

(rant alert)

The problem is that in Israel, cannabis is kept sealed until you purchase it. You can't smell or look at the buds first-hand. It's a lousy experience having to fly blindly based on what the companies are willing to report. THC is a must, some report CBD, good luck on anything reporting on CBN, and you're going to pay if you want to know the terpenes. That's why so many of us here go by pharmacist's recommendation or just pick the silliest name. As companies here often choose their own moniker for known strains (Looking at you, Telcann's "Jackpot," which anywhere else in the world they'd call "Trainwreck.")

(you may continue from here)

From the moment I smelled Queen Jackie, I was disappointed for myself. In my reaction video, I described the scent that wafted over as "dank," but the more I got my nose in the game off-camera, the more "sour" and "pungent" jumped out at me. And I like sour! And I like pungent! But something just wasn't doing it for my nose.

And that's how I felt about the taste, too. When I could taste the smoke in between coughs, that is. Even vaporizing Queen Jackie produced rolls of deep coughs. What I did taste was sour and earthy, very similar to how it smelled.

It just wasn't for me. But it might be for you!

I can definitely understand why people would purchase this strain. In terms of price-point, Queen Jackie ranks somewhere in the middle- not too high and not too low. The THC level is just right for being productive during the day with enough CBD to keep pain and nausea at bay. Overall, I felt good while medicated. A little relaxed with an elevated mood, a little more easy-going, a little less anxious- what's not to love?

Overall, this has the potential to be a great strain. It's true to its hybrid nature and balanced THC/CBD properties, which is something to truly boast about. Unfortunately, it's best fit for someone whose nose is not mine.
