Pre-License Counseling

Aug 23, 2023

Many people are turning to natural remedies these days, with cannabis being at the top of everyone's list.

What are some conditions cannabis can treat?

Cannabis's properties are great for a variety of ailments.

A few of with which I've worked closely are:
Psychological conditions:

Anxiety

ADHD

Depression

PTSD

Physical conditions:

Diabetes

High Blood Pressure

Hypertension

Nausea

     -Emotional

     -Medicine-induced

      -From pain

Neurological conditions:

Migraines

Fibromyalgia

Parkinson's

This is by no means a comprehensive list. If you have a specific condition you're interested in treating, please reach out to me and I'd be happy to assist!

How do I know if cannabis is right for me?

While there are many conditions with which cannabis can help, it doesn't mean it's right for everyone.

There are reasons that some believe cannabis should be kept medicinal. Even with the most conservative of doses, you are risking triggering epigenetic factors or releasing emotions for which you may not be prepared. Some people react badly, and that's okay.

What's the worst that can happen?

While THC relieves anxiety and increases euphoria for most, for others, it may cause paranoia, hallucinations, and increased anxiety including panic attacks. These are things you cannot particularly know about until medicating with marijuana, especially for the first time. It should be noted that these side-effects are temporary, but may leave one shaken with anxiety for a number of days following.

In terms of long-term effects from a single use, there aren't many. I strongly advise those with Bipolar Disorder to refrain from certain types of cannabis or particular terpenes as to not trip mania. Similarly, I prefer to deter anyone who has a history of schizophrenia in their family. That's not to say that just trying marijuana once will cause you to become schizophrenic, but one study found that daily use- particularly at a young age- can cause individuals with specific genes to be 7 times more likely to develop schizophrenia than people with the gene who do not use cannabis. Your wellbeing is of the utmost priority and I wouldn't want to do anything to potentially harm it.

What happens in a pre-licensing consultation?

Whatever you want to happen!

After our initial talk, I'll create a lesson that's right for you.

Whether it's general cannabis advice, learning about the plant, understanding how it can help you for your ailments, or just having someone answer your questions about how to get a license, I'm here for you on your path to wellness.

Here's an example of a pre-licensing consultation:

Evaluation of client's current wellbeing

Learning about the plant and its medicinal properties

Application of the endocannabinoid system to the client

Walk-through of the licensing process (Israel only)

Basics on how to consume and purchase

How long does it take?

I schedule myself by the hour, but leave how long it "takes" up to my client. I understand that Mazkeret Batya can be a schlep and that you want to get all of your questions asked in one go. Or the feeling of, "Ooh! Just one more thing!" right before an online meeting is about to end. Because of that, I leave up to an additional hour after our session to extend our talk.

I will notify you ahead of time if I think our time together will exceed an hour.

Other than that, it's up to you.

How much does it cost?

My fee per hour is 350₪ or $100, depending on where you are in the world.

There are no materials fees for this type of consultation
