This was one of those strains I took a chance on. Some of my favorite strains have been purple and I have found approximately none of them in Israel, so with a name like "Black Purple," I knew I had to take the opportunity.
Here's what I can say about it: it's exactly as-advertised- a beautiful purple that is bordering black. It was also very dry, considering that its expiration wasn't for another 5 months. Once I ground the bud, it was less noticeable, but I've decided to moisten it up a bit for better hits.
I've found mixed reports as to whether this is hand-cut or not. While there were barely any stems of which to speak, there were quite a few leaves left that a patient harvester should have trimmed. The hand vs. machine debate is something that typically doesn't bother me, but lazy cutting does. C'mon, y'all; love what you do and do it well!
But in terms of what it does, it's an indica that does indica well. It's heavy, but doesn't couchlock. It's sedative, but doesn't knock you out. Overall, it's very calming both in body and mind.
If you're looking for a dependable, no-nonsense indica, Black Purple delivers.
And I do want to point out mind. This strain has CBN, which although it's only 0.6%, I was very glad that it was reported. Why? Because I'd like to explore more than just THC and CBD. CBN, though only mildly psychoactive, still brings a new level, a new way to appreciate cannabis. Extra relaxation and de-stressing properties? Yes, and please!
While I'm glad that I explored this strain, it's not one that I'd write down for the record books. But if you're looking for a dependable, no-nonsense indica, Black Purple delivers.
